I stopped coming to this forum for a while, but this thread has renewed my interest in: VWs, making fun of short people, coffee, 15+ years martial arts training, etc. +1 thread of the year.

Just got a new oil pan in after stripping the drain plug on the original. As you can see, the retaining nut for the drain plug is hardly held in place. Needless to say, I'm putting a Fumoto valve on the new pan.
