I'd like to get feedback from everyone keeping their VW's healthy, what is it that you do to keep it running... I know engine oil and fluids should be kept within spec and drained/refilled at the appropriate mileage... anything else?

Do your timing before it needs it
a BIG one for the mk6!

keeping an eye on engine oil level on a weekly basis helps too.

wheel bearings?

I did one side, can't remember which side but it was the front. Of course after it started making noises. Why fix it if it's not broken.

Spark plugs and coil packs a BIG one too.... along with the PCV.
I did not want to mention RMS but its a BIG one too.
Waterpump as well.

I guess most of these components need to be visually inspected on a weekly basis. Spot a leak. Figure it out. Get it replaced in a timely manner.

Carbon cleaning is a BIG one too, along with fuel injectors and the fuel pumps (HPFP , LPFP)

Checking all lines (oil/boost/coolant) is a must as well.
