DIY Advisory

I did a DIY spring change this weekend and found out the hard way that the HID Leveling system is connected to the rear lower control arm. I was being careful while doing this and still managed to brake it. It is connected to the real left lower control arm. I went to VW this morning and had to order a new one. It is 110 GBP= about $175 USD. I just though I would let everyone have a heads up on this as I am kicking my self in the A$$ for not paying more attention. If you DON'T have the HID option you have nothing to worry about.

Look at the MK5 Coilover installation DIYs; The leveler arm pops off of it's ball-joint easily with a flathead screwdriver (or whatever other hand-tool is laying around)

Sorry guys my DIY photo Guy had to dip out about 45 mins in to it. I have like 3 pics of getting started lol. I used http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8095 to install the Springs and when he said this is the hardest part he was not joking not even one bit.
