Goddam clean up those welds. Are you notching out the tubes where they butt up to each other? It looks like no thats why you need to pool with the filler rods. I would consider buying one if you did this.

I hope my 2012 has the same mounting points as 2011.. I would imagine it would but you never know with VW and their weird year changes.
