Pictures from the Miami International Auto Show

I went to the auto show last night. It's always an experience.

Unfortunately the automakers aren't really displaying concept cars or race cars anymore, but there was still some cool stuff to be seen.

This is my biased tour of the car show.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a C7 Corvette:

Fiesta ST:

Not a fan of the painted calipers. They look like they were painted in someone's driveway.

Focus ST:

Strokeable dash...

... and crazily supportive seats. I don't imagine the bolsters would be comfortable for large people, but hot damn were they holding me snugly.

Ford 5.0 motor

New Dodge RAM 1500. Nothing exciting, right?

Except now you can get with an Ecodiesel motor!

25 mpg isn't too shabby for a truck, I think.

Ecodiesel V6

Same RAM, different color. I loved the color.

Oh, look, a new Cherokee, maybe this will be nice.

OH GOD TAKE IT AWAY:

SRT Viper:

New Fiat 500L. Nothing exciting, but that green is beautiful.

MCP Racing's BMW M3

Convertible area. Cleverly named.

With a monstrous sand castle:

Audi RS5 Convertible

That's is his "DO WANT" face.

New Corolla:

2014 Mazda3 Hatchback with their Skyactiv motor.

I love the new design. Can't wait to see the Mazdaspeed3.

Mazda6 racecar

Mazda MX5 Club

2014 CTS-V Coupe. The coupe is growing on me. I still want a wagon.

BMW city car thing:

Lexus LFA. They had a speaker underneath the car playing the exhaust note.

Audi R8 V10 Spyder:

Audi S6. I sat in this for a long time. I really want it.

DEM SEATS

LED Headlights:

Audi RS7. Also want.

Ridiculous brakes. For reference, those wheels are 21" in diameter.

Jaguar F-Type V8 S

OMG, the hood's up. Let's get a peek at this supercharged V8:

... oh

Jaguar F-Type S. This one's a supercharged V6:

Jaguar XK RS-GT:

Porsche Cayman:

50th Anniversary 911

... with cloth seat inserts:

Tesla Model S. The crowd around these was pretty large compared to all of the other cars at the event, so I didn't really get any good pictures of the car by itself:

McLaren MP4-12C

Lamborghini. I don't know which one. I'm really bad with Lamborghinis.

Aston

Those seats look amazing from 15 ft away. Couldn't really get any closer than that.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage S

Ferrari F12. If you ever see someone driving this, know that they have a long, established history with Ferrari to be able to purchase one of these from the notoriously snobby car-maker.

Ferarri FF

There is a special section of the show called "Memory Lane". This year it was split into two parts. The first part I'm showing you is a Cuban show. The second is the traditional. Not really sure what the difference is other than the flags.

1949 Buick Super:

1933 Ford Model A

1957 Ford Thunderbird:

1958 MGA Coupe

1958 Beetle

1950 Jaguar XK-120. I REALLY want to sit in this and cackle maniacally.

Matchless Motorcycle

1963 (?) Chevy Truck

1964 Pontiac GTO:

1969 Camaro Indy 500 Pace Car

Austin Healey 3000, not sure which year

Modified Jeep thing:

1964 Mustang

1958 Volvo PV445 Duett

On the way out, Jeep had a ride-along thing set up to show off the capabilities of all of their models. It had a rock garden, a 30 degree incline, a 30 degree lateral obstacle, a couple big things to clear. The elevation at the top of the hill is 18ft. The shut it down when it was raining.
