Fault code 01309 - Power Steering Control Module (J500)

I have a new problem. We had a power outage last night, and I have this big power inverter. I disconnected the battery to hook up the inverter, when I powered up the car I had this fault. Driving it and clearing the code didn't work. I disconnected the battery again and removed the inverter today, the fault remains. I see others report finding a loose ground or maybe a coding change to make this go away. Not looking to buy a new rack...any tips would be great.

Well, I tried a trick from the vortex and it worked.
Steering assist (44) -> Adaptation -> Channel 03 -> Change from 1 (DSR inactive) to 2 (DSR active)
Test. Save. This cleared the fault after driving. I was then able to change back to 1 with no issue.
