Well, this GF Chip thing is just like your JB+... Garbage! Based on whats written on the website, they are only controlling/changed Two (2) inputs. To tune a car, you need to adjust more than just 2 inputs/signals.

If you're looking for a reason to sell your Gti, get the gfchip.

All this does is trick the IAT (intake Air Temp) output where it is measured at the MAF. Cooler temps = more potential timing advance.

But.....When the temps aren't really cooler the timing can be advanced into the detonation range and start bouncing up against the knock sensor.

This is not a good idea, nor is it a substitute for a real chip program.

the JB+ or whatever was basically an MBC - manual boost controller. That's what I had on my 335xi. Worked, but yeah, very rudimentary.
