Michelin PS4 place of origin issue

Hello guys, I've seen Michelin ps4 produced in Spain, Thailand and China. Does it make any difference with different place of origin? Eventhoug I am a Chinese, but I still consider tires produced in Spain have a higher quality than in China. (This has nothing to do with patriotic)
Having said that, has anyone tried PS4 that made in China?
Another issue is that how is Michelin PS4 compared with Bridgestone potenza S001, which is the stock tire of my car.
Many thanks!!

I bet if you ask Michelin they'll claim that quality is the same everywhere.
I'm curious about differences too.
Your second question is much easier to answer. The PS4 is by far better
compared to the BS S-001, which is a couple of years old now. The PS4
did win any tire review in Europe I've came across, while the S-001 is at
best mid table. The BS even never has been excellent.
My CS came with this S-001 from factory (as any 18" equipped Euro spec
GTI does) and after one week I swapped these shitty BS tires for a set of
Michelin PSS. The difference is immidiately noticeable. Night and day. My
very first mod to this car and the very best one I did so far.
I didn't try the newer PS4 on my own yet, but people I trust say it's quite
close to the PSS. I'd say the PSS should still be marginally better in the dry,
while the PS4 is slightly better in the wet.

My Michelin Pilot Sport 4 are made in Spain too, but I live in Europe. Maybe they sell batches worldwide depending on their stock in each plant. Either way, these are excellent road-tyres and get to operating temperatures earlier than the Super Sport (I can compare them because my brother has the latter and they take their time to warmup).

Thanks for the information. I am fed up with my S001 as well, you just give me a excuse to get rid of them:D I've decided to put money on tires instead of brakes, cause I remember someone in this forum said brakes stop the wheels, tires stop the car.

Couple of friends of mine swapped their tires to Michelin Pilot Sport 3 last year, which are also produced in China. However the feedback from them are not that satisfying. So I am wondering is it due to tires themselves or simply because they are made in China. I know PS 4 are good tires, but its the "made in China" hold me back from purchasing them(I am not shame of being Chinese:cool:)
