R just seems like it's the full package. I just don't like hatchbacks to be honest. It's not sporty, I want something sporty.

Yea haha. I keep having the same dilemma as well. I keep thinking I really like the focus St but dsg is just soooo much more superior to manual and I hate to say it but driving manual daily can get tiring and driving competitively is even harder ( ever try heel toeing?). Then I think what if I get bored of driving automatic even if it is a dual clutch for the same money I can get a manual wrx. Then it comes to what if mk7 gti comes with LSD and dsg I would much rather have that over a torque vectoring manual in the Wrx. Ideally I want an mk7 R but then the wrx will probably give you a better awd system for less money and you don't have to deal with the whole cracking open the ecu thing to tune. But, both the gti and R are going to be built a lot better than the wrx and the wrx interior looks like a cheap knock off of the gti lol.
