So might not be GTI but still VW.

Well went with a different van then before, picked up a 1981 Devon Conversion with a 2.0 air cooled automatic transmission. Has been named Irene and a wonderful van she has been.

Includes
Propane propex heater
Number of cabinets
Camping stove (propane)
Fridge (12v, 220v, or propane)
Shower tent
Buddy Seat
Pop Top
Drive away awning
Sleeps 4 (2 on rock and roll bed, 2 in pop top)

[ ]Mount lights on front and rear bumper
[ ]Complete the "Devon" vinyl down the sides
[ ]Portable/Hitch BBQ
[ ]Possible different wheels
[ ]Tint Windows
[ ]Proper paint job (currently rolled on rustoleum)

Had a little "Tattoo" done at Big Bang, Paint pen that will be cleared over.

Went to go see the original van and it was beyond rotten, found this instead. Has been sitting inside a barn for the last 2 years. Original owner went to Australia for vacation, found love and never came back. Parents got sick of the van sitting in the corner and decided to sell it.

Update pics, and some of the plans stuck, some removed, others added.

Overall its a great ride...just super slow. Took about 8 miles on the highway to reach 65, but very smooth and easy ride.

First camping trip is planned for early March, going to be a fun adventure.
