Current coding from 09

Don't have any wires not plugged in, other then the repair wire this is the changes I made.

2) T52C (Brown connector) Terminal 28 is a black and blue stripe wire
that was run to my Passenger's side reverse light.

3) T52C (Brown connector) Terminal 47 is the rear fog power wire and
blue and green stripe wire. This was the Mystery wire that actually ends

Just swapped those 2 locations.

Tried a few changes with byte 18
20/21= Left DRL works, rear fog on when DRL on, reverse light works
33= No rear fog, no reverse light, left LED DRLs flash on and off
15= Reverse always on, no DRL
43= Rear fog works, left DRL flashes, reverse on with DRL
04= left LED DRL works, reverse light on with DRL, rear fog works
55= No DRL, reverse works, no rear fog, in place of rear fog left DRL flashes
22= No DRL, no reverse, rear fog works

No matter what coding I try I get the same bulb out error, might not be right away, might take 1 or 2 start cycles but it shows up.

You need the second trigger wire. My car is SVA exempt because I bought it here. It was "legal" when I took delivery. But the "rear fog" was actually the two inner lights on the hatch.

As for the the C28's, I posted it in that order to start from no fog, convert to left side, then right side. It's the easiest way to do it with the least confusion.

Yup. C47 Is the right rear fog light power on ROW golfs. Ross-tech should have compared both schematics for the NA golf vs ROW golf.... That's how you find the proper way to re pin the cecm. Swap the wires in that order and you should be good... I can give you the schematics if you would like them....

Wire Pin 7 from headlight switch to T52-A17 (brown connector)
Repair wire from pin 3 of headlight switch to T52-A19(brown)
Follow this sequence:

T52A-47 TO T52C-28
T52A-28 TO T52C-28
T52C-28 TO T52C-47

Make sure that you code byte 18 to 04 ROW (rest of world.)
This is currently based off of my memory of looking at the schematics today. I'll confirm it once I get to work tomorrow. When I installed my rear fog (left side and my car is MOT exempt until 2015) my DRL's wouldn't work properly without the second trigger wire. Do you have two trigger wires installed????

Just noticed this.....hot damn big question...

You have T52-A19 as brown connector in the first one, T52A is black and T52C is the brown.

Can it possible be this?
T52C-47 TO T52A-28
T52C-28 TO T52A-28
T52A-28 TO T52A-47

Sorry for all of the confusion, I had a long day at work. I'm thinking clearly now and this order should work.

T52A = BLACK
T52C = BROWN
T10H = HEADLIGHT SWITCH

T52C/47 (BLUE/GREEN) TO T52A/28 (GREY/WHITE)
T52A/28 (GREY/WHITE) TO T52C/28 (BLACK/BLUE)
T52C/28 (BLACK/BLUE) TO T52C/47 (BLUE/GREEN)

T10H/3 TO T52A/19
T10H/7 TO T52A/17

Just finished this up, both DRL LEDs work, rear fog works, just need to get my reverse light working. At least I can pass my MOT inspection now and get my road tax covered by uncle sam.

Good deal :thumbsup:. Double check the connections at the cecm to make sure that they are properly seated, or you may have to change the coding. Forward this info to Ross-Tech incase others are looking for this info.
